For many years, I've written stories for international corporate clients to help people learn...Now, it's time to tell my stories, stories to inspire and make you smile.

If you work for a business, maybe you’ve watched fun animated videos that made complex concepts easy to grasp, or you’ve followed a story in an eLearning as you built new skills, or perhaps you’ve directed the life of a 3-D animated character in an interactive learning experience. Stories make learning easy and fun.

I’ve built my career telling these types of stories for businesses but outside of work, I’ve created other stories, ones based on my experiences and explorations. It’s time for me to share those stories with you.

I’ve loved stories for a long time. When my mom took us to the library, I would meet her at the desk with a teetering stack of books in my arms. She stopped asking, “Are you going read all of those?” because I always did. My first job was putting books away at the library. It was also the first time I got fired – for reading instead of shelving.

When I was about 10, I began to play guitar, we got a dog, and my dad built my brothers and me this amazing tree house in the fork of the giant choke cherry tree in our backyard. He cut the floor around the tree, so the house was literally in the tree. It had a trap door and 3-foot-high sides.

I hauled my books, my journal, and my guitar into the treehouse and spent hours reading, writing, and playing music under the wise, watchful branches of that tree. I’d clamber down to play with our dog.

I’ve never stopped loving those things! Dogs, trees – and all of this earth’s beauty – reading, creating stories, and music. Along the way, I added adventure travels to the mix but have always been driven by a desire to experience the exquisite beauty in nature and to understand the lives of people in different parts of the world.

“It’s my hope that the stories, poems, songs, and essays I write inspire peace, kindness, compassion, and joy. I believe you can find those things in simple ways, whether it be camping in your backyard or the nearby state park, caring for the plants in your house, taking time to notice your breath, taking your dog for a walk, or singing – yes, even if you think you can’t sing.”
